Dogbox Software (ABN 40 986 160 328) operates dogboxsoftware.com.au and develops the Dogbox Accounting application. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy mean Dogbox Software.
We only collect personal information that you provide directly to us, primarily through the contact form on this website:
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited and approximate location; it does not identify you personally to us. We do not run advertising.
The Dogbox Accounting application stores all company data in a .dbox file on your own computer. We have no access to your business data — invoices, contacts, accounts, transactions, or any other records you create in the app. That data never leaves your device unless you choose to copy or share the file yourself, or you connect an optional service such as Google Calendar (see below).
Dogbox Accounting can sync its Schedule with a Google Calendar. This is off by default and only happens if you choose Connect Google Calendar in the app's settings and sign in to Google.
What the app accesses. With your permission, the app uses these Google permissions (scopes):
openid, email) — shown in the app so you can see which account is connected.calendar.calendarlist.readonly) — read only, so you can choose which calendar to sync with.calendar.events) — the app reads each event's title, description, start and end date/time, and identifiers, and creates, updates and deletes events that correspond to items in your Dogbox Schedule (appointments, job visits and jobs).How it is used. This information is used only to keep your Dogbox Schedule and your chosen Google Calendar in step — for example, so an appointment added on your phone appears in Dogbox, and a job visit booked in Dogbox appears on your phone. Events in calendars you haven't chosen are not accessed.
Where it is stored. Your account email, the chosen calendar, the synced events and the long-lived sign-in token Google issues (the refresh token) are stored only in your company file on your own computer. They are sent directly between your computer and Google. Dogbox Software has no server in between and never receives, stores or has access to your Google data.
Sharing. Google user data is not sold, not shared with any third party, not used for advertising, and not used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. No person at Dogbox Software can read it.
No artificial intelligence. Dogbox Accounting does not include, call or connect to any artificial intelligence or machine-learning model or service — third-party, hosted or self-hosted. Google user data is never sent to an AI provider and is never used to create, train or improve any AI or machine-learning model, whether in raw, aggregated, anonymised or derived form.

Choose Disconnect in the app's Google Calendar settings to stop syncing; the app revokes its access with Google at the same time. You can also remove access at any time from your Google Account's third-party access page. Events already synced remain in your company file and your Google Calendar until you delete them.
Dogbox Accounting's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Our contact form is processed by Formspree, which receives the information you submit and forwards it to us by email. Formspree's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
